Follicular monitoring is a series of ultrasound scans used to track follicle growth, ovulation and endometrial development during the menstrual cycle. It helps the fertility specialist identify the appropriate time for timed intercourse, ovulation induction, IUI or selected fertility treatments.

💗 Who can benefit?
It may be recommended for women with PCOS, irregular periods, ovulation problems, unexplained infertility, or those undergoing ovulation induction, IUI or selected IVF cycles.
🩺 How does it work?
Monitoring generally begins with a baseline scan, followed by serial scans to assess follicular growth and the endometrium. When appropriate, the fertility specialist may advise an ovulation trigger, followed by appropriately timed intercourse or IUI.
